About
Run for the Ranch began in 1999 as a fund raiser for the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch, Ozark Mountain Ridge Runners, and other local charities. The event is held annually on the last weekend of the year and is traditionally one of the last chances in the calendar year to Marathon in the United States.
NO DOGS ALLOWED ON COURSE!

Weather: The average temperature at the race start is 42 degrees.
Age Restrictions: To run the marathon or 6 hour endurance you must be 18 or over on race day, half marathon must be 13 or over on race day. No exceptions!
Packet Pickup/Registration:
Thursday, December 16th at Fleet Feet (1254 E Republic Rd, Springfield, MO) from 3:00pm to 7:00PM.
Friday, December 17th at Fleet Feet (1254 E Republic Rd, Springfield, MO) from 3:00pm to 7:00PM.
Race Day from 7:30am to 9:30am at the start/finish line.
Location: Starts and finishes at Parking Lot #24 (Kings and Grand), MSU Campus, Springfield, MO (1/4-mile SW of intersection of National & Grand)
Parking: Ample free university parking can be found immediately SW of National and Grand for both packet pickup and the race.
Benefiting: Proceeds benefit the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch and the Ozark Mountain Ridge Runners.

• Awards to first overall, male and female and Masters (40+), 1-mile, half marathon & marathon events.
• Awards to top three in ten-year age groups in 1-mile, half marathon & marathon events. (14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+)
• Awards to top three male relay teams, top three female relay teams, and top three coed relay teams.
• Awards to top 3 males and top 3 females in 6-hour endurance event.

This course is a certified 3.275 mile loop so that the marathon is exactly 8 loops and the half marathon is exactly 4 loops. Very clear directional arrows will be posted along the course. All race distances are certified. USATF Certified Course, Boston Qualifier Course, and NYC Qualifier Course!
Relay: The marathon may be run as a relay with 4 people to each team. Teams may be single gender or mixed gender. Each relay member will run 2 loops of the course. Relay exchange zone will be at the finish line.
Aid Stations: Water, gatorade, food (Fruit Snacks, M&M's, Uncrustables, Pretzels, gels) and toilets every 1.5 miles.
Food & Fun: Free food and drinks for all finishers.
